The Maggie Walker Community Land Trust (MWCLT) seeks to develop and steward permanently affordable housing opportunities to foster racially equitable communities in Richmond, Henrico, and Chesterfield, Virginia.
We are an alternative homeownership program that uses the Community Land Trust model. Our model helps people attain homeownership goals while keeping their homes affordable for other families in the future.

About Us
The Maggie Walker Community Land Trust (MWCLT) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that develops and stewards permanently affordable homeownership opportunities to foster racially equitable communities. Founded in 2016 by a coalition of affordable housing professionals and concerned citizens, our vision is that the communities of metropolitan Richmond will be inclusive, affordable, and healthy places to live. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, made up of partners, community members, and our very own homeowners. MWCLT serves in in the City of Richmond and the Counties of Chesterfield and Henrico.
