Operations and Development Coordinator

Leah is the Operations and Development Coordinator at Maggie Walker Community Land Trust. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities, data management, and supporting the planning and execution of development strategies to secure financial resources for the organization's growth. Prior to their promotion, Leah served as the AmeriCorps VISTA for MWCLT for two years, during which she gained extensive knowledge of the operations and intricacies of the CLT. Leah has coordinated events and outreach, designed education and action campaigns, reported to administrative professionals and diverse constituencies, and led new community member orientations for MWCLT. Before joining our team, Leah successfully obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Film with an accompanying Minor in Social Justice from Hollins University. During their time studying, she gained significant outreach and mentorship experience through various roles. Some of those roles included Hollins Activity Board Member, Hollins Film Department Equipment Coordinator, Hollins Summer Programming Community Assistant, and Committee Member for Hollins University’s 13th Presidential Inauguration. In her time off, Leah loves to explore Richmond’s diverse restaurants, enjoy exhibitions at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, spend time at local theaters, and go to the library.
