Operations and Development Coordinator

Leah serves as a key liaison between funders and donors, advancing the mission of MWCLT. She plays an integral role in supporting grant applications, ensuring compliance, and overseeing the stewardship of individual donors. What Leah values most about MWCLT is the organization’s commitment to the "pay it forward" model, where homeowners agree to create lasting affordability. The desire to pass on wealth and opportunity to fellow community members fuels her passion for this work. Leah shares, “Both my mother and paternal grandmother have been homeowners since before my birth, each living in the same home for over 25 years. That stability provided a safe, nurturing community where I was able to thrive. I believe other single mothers and intergenerational households deserve that same opportunity." As a newcomer to the Richmond community, Leah is honored to play a role in carrying forward the legacy of Maggie L. Walker while helping to sustain the diversity and vibrant spirit that has embraced her. “I have a deep appreciation for Richmond, especially its vibrant arts scene, which is in constant dialogue with the lived experiences of its residents. I’m inspired to give back the joy and sense of belonging this community has given me.
