Derrick Billie is a Richmond native, Class A contractor, and tech-driven real estate developer who bridges affordable housing, construction innovation, and community impact. As Operations Manager of Equity Builders & Investment Partners, Derrick oversees residential and commercial construction projects across Virginia, with a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective housing solutions for working families.
Through the Meant2BFree Foundation, Derrick has designed and implemented programs that expose inner-city youth to construction, AI, and technology careers—creating a hands-on learning pipeline that merges mentorship, workforce development, and community service. His work has revitalized dozens of properties in historically underserved neighborhoods while creating educational and economic opportunities for local youth and families.
Derrick also brings over a decade of experience in enterprise technology consulting, currently serving as a Partner at Quantum Leap Consulting, where he leads Salesforce implementations and helps organizations adopt scalable, data-driven systems. His technical and operational background allows him to approach affordable housing with a systems mindset—emphasizing sustainability, digital transformation, and inclusive growth.
With deep roots in Richmond and a track record of cross-sector collaboration, Derrick offers a unique blend of lived experience, industry expertise, and values-driven leadership. He is passionate about building equitable communities and is honored to serve on the Maggie Walker Community Land Trust Board of Directors.
