Mike Mulvihill is principal of Richmond-based Carter Ryley Thomas Marketing & Communications Counsel. He has been involved in the affordable housing sector for nearly two decades as a member of the Virginia Local Initiatives Support Corporation (Virginia LISC) Leadership Advisory Committee (LAC) including three terms as LAC chairman. Mike has extensive experience leading major regional and national public relations, marketing and communication firms working with a range of clients from Fortune 500 companies, banks and government agencies to colleges, associations and high tech firms.
His work has earned top awards from leading industry organizations, including the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Internal Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the American Marketing Association (AMA). Mike was the 2016 recipient of PRSA Richmond’s highest lifetime achievement award, the Thomas Jefferson Award for Excellence in Public Relations. He holds an B.A. in Communication Arts and an MBA from the University of Dayton.
