Carolyn Champion, Vice Chair

Genworth

Carolyn is Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) Director at Genworth. She oversees Genworth’s CSR strategy, including management of the Genworth Foundation, community relations initiatives, diversity and inclusion, and environment and sustainability.  Carolyn provides leadership to the Genworth Foundation Board, maintains all philanthropic relationships in the Richmond, VA region, and she reviews all grant proposals and is responsible for reporting outcomes to the Board.  Carolyn leads community relations efforts, including employee volunteerism, employee giving, and business sponsorships. Carolyn oversees the diversity and inclusion strategy, including employee resource groups, business innovation initiatives, and learning and development opportunities for employees.

Carolyn is a member of the Homeward Board of Directors, project:HOMES Board of Directors, ChamberRVA Foundation Board of Directors, Leadership Metro Richmond’s Class of 2015, and the 2016 Class of Style Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40. Prior to this role, Carolyn was a Senior Financial Analyst at Genworth and previously employed at AOL and Veris Consulting, Inc. in finance roles. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from James Madison University in Accounting.
